Commission a bespoke oil portrait of yourself, your family, loved ones or friends. I create oil portraits from photographs, live sittings, or a combination of both, or we can arrange live sittings in person.

For me, painting a portrait is a creative process in which your vision and my vision are intertwined. Before we begin, we will discuss together the details of the desired portrait: size, composition, color. It is important and interesting for me to get acquainted with different choreographies of thought, hear your ideas, exchange intuitions and find their artistic reflection.

If you live in the UK, then we can arrange for me to come to you to paint a portrait with live posing sessions. In this case, the price is calculated individually. Posing on average takes 4 meetings for three hours with breaks. For selected commissions, I can also create a custom patterned canvas or textile-inspired background.

Each commission is individually quoted depending on size, number of figures, background complexity, framing and delivery. Below are starting prices for oil portraits.

50×70 cm, single person, head/half-figure, simple background — from £2,400

77×100 cm, half-figure, more space and detail — from £3,100

122×55 / 140×65 / 150×65 cm, narrow large-format portrait — from £4,200

70×140 / 80×120 / 80×130 cm, figure, accessories — £4,500–£6,500

150×120 cm, large legacy portrait — £7,000–£10,000

Shipping is not included in the portrait price. UK delivery usually costs between £26 and £120, depending on the size of the artwork.

A 50% deposit is required to confirm your commission, with the remaining balance due once the portrait is complete and before shipping.

  • Most oil portraits take between 4 and 6 weeks, depending on size, complexity and drying time. Larger or live-sitting portraits may take longer.

  • • After we have discussed the commission and agreed on the composition, a 50% deposit is required before work begins.

    • When the portrait is complete, you will receive a photograph of the painting for approval. At this stage, minor adjustments can be discussed. The remaining balance is paid before the artwork is shipped.

  • • Prices don’t include shipping which can cost from £26-£120 for the UK destinations depending on the size of the artwork.

    • Shipping outside the UK and EU is calculated individually.

  • Yes. You can choose from a variety of designs, or we can develop a custom pattern based on your own sketch or idea. Please note that creating a handmade patterned canvas may add around two weeks to the overall timeline.
